Well, the new style forums (great job done by Kahuna) have finally impelled me to post a picture, albeit a little out of date, of my cherished Marcelo. The classic red/white paint scheme looks fantastic (even if the paint is a bit fragile) - thanks to DBRK for the red/white inspiration from his CSI.
With all these new forums, when will I ever get any work done?

Nick,

What are the specs on your Marcelo? It's sharp looking. How long did it take you to put it together from design to first ride?

regards,
Richard

Full specs are on my work computer but it is a rather strange set of numbers, as I recall: toptube 57.5, seattube 52.5, seattube angle 73. There was lots of to-ing and fro-ing about the numbers, remeasuring etc. But that was what Dario thought would be best and it fits just fine (although quite different from my other rides). How long did it take? Months and months - well, about 4 months. But it was worth the wait.

nick, where is your photo posted? i'm not the cleverest boy, i can't find it. searched the gallery. i'm curious because dario is building a marcelo for me too. faema scheme and gave dario a choice: black with white panel, or white with black panel. the idea that the same hands that built bikes for countless world-calibre racers is building a custom frame for me is very cool. as they used to say on wayne's world, i'm not worthy. but hey, i'll take it.

by the way, what the weather like this winter there? i spent a winter in london once. dickens-dark the whole time. english winters are a psychological test, to me anyway. thank heavens for pubs!

Picture is in the Custom gallery. Yep, it's dark and has been since 4pm. But it was OK this morning for a short 25 miler.
