Maximum tire size on a Tetra?

So what size tires are you running? What fits, what doesn't?

I have an 02 Luna ( I believe they have the same rear triangle)and it will fit an honest 28 in the frame and the Ouzo Pro fork, tho I understand the Ouzo pro Peleton has greater clearance.I have some Panaracer Paselas that fit that are marked 700 x 32,but measure 28 wide and high.

Usually, maximum tire size is going to be dependent on the fork. The maximum size that carbon forks will take is usually a *true* 25mm wide tire (700x25). In the rear, the max is probably a bit wider at about 28mm or so.

For those thinking of buying a new Calfee, Craig is now offering an option for 28 and even 35mm wide tires!

Usually, those needing more clearance need room to run fatter tires (for more comfort).

Further, if you ride in the rain, more clearance will also allow the use fenders.

Currently, I use 700x25 Avocet Fasgrip tires pumped up to 100psi. Its very comfortable and I give up nothing in terms of speed or handling.

Unfortunately, I'm limited to 25mm wide tires as my Kestrel fork won't allow for anything fatter (or for fenders).

I am running 28mm Specialized flak-jacket tires with no problem on my Tetra with Ouzo Pro fork. These tires may run small, I don't know. I just told the bike shop to put something big as possible on it.

I'm running Vittoria Rubino Pro 700X25 tires on my bike. For me, as a go-fast recreational cyclist and potential commuter (currently unemployed)the best tire for me is the largest that will fit. The other day I stopped to help a guy who had a high end production bike. The poor guy couldn't get his skinny 700X21 tire back in his rim. I got blisters forcing his tire on because the bead had no stretch. He had gotten a blowout flat and I educated him on proper tire pressure. I think he had it pumped up to 150 PSI thinking higher is better.
