Stiletto performance and beauty? new
#7858 - 07/11/06 01:13 AM (24.180.10.40)

"It's amazing that what appeals to the eye does not necessarily appeal to the touch" The Stiletto to me is not a classically beautiful bike, nor is Mona Lisa a beautiful woman, but each is a work of art nonetheless.

What makes it so is not in the simple assemblage of parts but in the function they bring to the whole experience of cycling; effortless feeling of movement, near psychic response to input, unparalleled maneuverability, and comfort to bless miles of riding.

The Stiletto unfaired is no faster than a woman in high heels but there are times when going slow is not only acceptable but preferred. Of course speed is part of the unconscious language of dreams, and truly subjective in nature, but there are moments when we desire the ability to truly forget ourselves and this is where love takes wings with kevlar, carbon, and silk that combine to take flight cutting the wind in half. This is where the Calfee canvas comes to life and reveals light, shadow, and near warp speeds!
