Anyone heading to the Hotter 'N Hell Hundred next weekend, Aug 26th?
Just curious.

Not now. I have been logging serious miles until 3 weeks ago when the "job" took over. Looks like the "job" will win again this weekend as well. Enjoy the ride.

I should be, but probably won't. I'm getting over 100 miles a week on my commute now. But it's all short bursts. I'm in desperate need of a long ride.
I hope you have a hotel room out there. Do ya?

Thanks cinelli!
Yeah, I'm a lucky one who got a room for both Friday night and Sat. I'm used to riding in the Texas heat, but since this is my first HH100, I kinda fear the long flat stretches of road with the heat and wind. I'm excited but a little nervous too.

Yea, I'm here, too. I've been commuting from Flower Mound to Irving every day. It can be warm at the end of the day at 6pm. And then I usually ride middle of the afternoon on weekends when my kids are busy with other stuff. Nice and acclimated now. I've heard the wind can be tough. I'd get the spf 1000 all over my arms and legs.

I use the bullfrog spf 32 spray-on/no-rub stuff that works like a champ. I can't sweat it off and it lasts my whole ride. I might use a whole bottle on me come Sat!
I commuted last summer to and from work but found drive time far too risky for my liking. So I picked up a fluid trainer and put the miles in at home during the week and hit the roads on the weekends.
