front derailleur size

not having any luck finding a previous discussion of this, so... would i need a 31.8mm or a 34.9mm clamp-on front derailleur for a 52 dragonfly pro? thanks!

All Calfees use a 34.9mm clamp size for the front deraileur

Note that Calfee downtubes are 33.2mm and use a .85mm shim to bring the diameter up to 34.9mm. ...at least my Tetra is that way.

I think the shim is needed to help distribute the clamp force more equally around the seat tube.

I think the fiberglass shim thingy also helps prevent scratching/gouging.
