who owns what?

I am a bit confused. I am told that Litespeed is now owned by a conglomerate. The Lynskeys have left and opened their own deal. Is Serotta independent or has it been swallowed up as well? If so, by whom? Same deal with Merlin (they seem to now have the same address as Litespeed)?

The Lynskey 'family' sold Litespeed a number of years ago.
Litespeed is part of the American Bicycle Group ( http://www.americanbicyclegroup.com/ ) which includes Merlin, Quintana Roo and Real Design as well.

Serotta is independent and wholly owned by Ben Serotta.

I found a blurb with short explanation about the Lynskey family, Litespeed and American Bicycle Group.

"The Lynskeys founded titanium bike maker Litespeed in 1986, selling the company to American Bicycle Group (ABG) in 1999. Mark Lynskey went to ABG to run the company, but left in 2005. Other family members left when ABG took over, or in the years between 1999 and 2005. The family is now back in the titanium frame game, offering a range of custom bikes with the option of some wild custom paint jobs under the Lynskey Performance Designs marque."

Warren Buffet bought all the cycle manufacturers except Felt.
