The Setup
#8425 - 11/26/06 08:33 PM (71.139.188.89)

I finally got my bike together yesterday thanks to the guys at Velo Tech in Palo Alto. They do a great job!

Here's the final:

Calfee Dragonfly 56cm
Full SRAM group
Leopard Carbon Stem, Post, and Bars
DT Swiss 1.1 Rims with 240s hubs
Conti GP4000 tires
Fizik Carbon Aliante Saddle
Dura Ace pedals

Took it out today for a 25 mile ride (stopped by rain). By far the fastest accelerating and coasting bike I've ever ridden. Climbs really well with no rubbing anywhere even when really hammering (I weigh 195 lbs). The SRAM group shifts really quickly and is very intuitive.

I really really like the DT swiss handbuilt wheels. Feels like you're rolling on ice, no friction!

After the ride, I noticed I had no signs of vibrational fatigue. Also, I pushed myself to near anaerobic a couple of times, no muscle or back fatigue, only lung fatique! I'm out of shape, but feel I could do a pain-free century on this bike now.

Morgan

Sounds like a nice setup--could you post some pics?

And I'd be very interested to hear a review of the SRAM group--particularly if you have any Campy experience to compare it to...

I uploaded photos of my new bike a week ago but they are still "pending approval" Is this step really necessary?
