Looking for another 60cm Calfee...either frame and fork or complete bike. Tetra Pro preferred, but a Dragonfly would be nice if it is not too expensive. Standard geometry. If you have anything or know anyone looking to sell, please e-mail me.

I too want to buy a used 60CM Calfee Tetra Pro some day. I am not in any hurry and will wait until one come along. My Luna is a great bike, but now that I am completely addicted to cycling, buying a Tetra seems like a goal to satisfy my addiction.

Thanks for the offer on the Luna but I think I will hold out for another Tetra unless a Dragonfly becomes available.

As a result of this forum, I have purchased a used 60CM Tetra Pro with a nude finish and a 2CM head tube extension. This is the bike that I have been waiting for and I will have it tomorrow. By the end of the week, I should have everything transfered over from my Luna.
This bike should allow me to raise my handlebars by 1.5 inches which will probably eliminate my neck pain from riding.
Now I have to sell my Luna which I will post first on this forum before putting it up on Ebay.
I will give an update by the end of the week along with pictures of the Tetra.

Thanks, I am sure it is going to be great. By the way, you have a nude bike don't you? The carbon is hard to scratch or ding isn't it? I was just wondering if rocks or road debris will mare the frame.

My Luna was nude. I used BikeSaver tape on areas that might get chips; front of the downatube, rear of the seat tube and on the chainstays. The carbon isn't *hard* but doesn't ding super easy. Calfee does recommend regular applications of 303 protectant for UV protection.

Yep, mine is nude as well. It doesn't scratch easily, though I imagine a decent chain suck incident would probably do a number on the frame. Dave suggestion is probably the best, though I haven't used any such tape. I probably should though. The only scratches I have are on the top tube and they are very small. I forget how I put them there.
I'm pretty religious with the 33, which keeps it looking ultra cool but is easily messed up with sweat or water spillage. It's a labor of love.
I have a clear coated alpha Q fork that i want to send in to Craig this winter to get nude-ified. It has several pings from rocks and whatnot so I think such a part would benefit from the no-paint finish.

I am not familiar with Bike Saver tape. I Googled it but didn't find any sellers. Where can I buy it?
I have some 303 coming with the frame. I will use afte each washing.

Here is the only source I know of for a small quantity: http://www.coloradocyclist.com/product/item/BKSVGY4K This amount should be more than enough for applications that I like on a bike.
Make sure the frame is clean before you apply the tape or else it won't stick well. The nude carbon is relatively soft, compared to clear coat or paint and can ding easily from debris thrown up by the tires.

I think that I was contacted because I put in my comments that I was looking for a 2 CM head tube extension, which this one has. I am jazzed about getting it.
I will be on the lookout for another one and let you know if something comes is available. I am sure that another 60CM Calfee will come along, they always do.

Not the prettiest bicycle accessory in the world, but they do a great job and weigh virtually nothing...

Cinelli, if I did hijack your post, it was not my intention. I responded to your original post saying that I would offer you my 60CM Luna if I could find a Tetra Pro with a 2CM head tube extention. I never expected someone to contact me.
For the past year I have been scouring websites looking for Calfees. I have sent several emails to a guy from this forum that was looking for a Dragonfly.
I will continue to look and contact you if I find something.

That unique Chain Stop device is pretty cool. One would think this accessory would be more popular...who really wants to deal with a greasy "dropped chain" at the side of the road if it can be prevented?

I had a 3rd Eye on my Luna until I put the triple crank on the bike. The 3rd Eye will work with the lugs on a double only.
It isn't an issue with a Tetra of course because the lugs are wrapped.

On my wife's Tetra the lugs extend far enough up from the bottom bracket area to prohibit the use of any device that reguires clamping to the seat tube in that area.
The Tetra lugs aren't normally wrapped, they're trimmed a little nicer than on the Luna.

It almost seems like a small plate could be incorporated as an element of frame design to reduce/eliminate chainsuck. Well, losing one's chain doesn't happen too often anyway, so perhaps I'm overthinking this a bit.

I utilize this method also. It is a little tricky to install with the Tetra gussets, but works like a charm.
