Arm Warmers
#9063 - 08/13/07 06:39 AM (66.27.148.144)

I know it the middle of August and too early to think about warm wheather gear, but I bought a par of arm warmers on sale and they seem tight to me. I think they will cut of the circulation if I wear them too long. They are XL from Pearl Izumi.

Does anyone make arm warmers larger than XL? I have Googled it but can't find anything.

Thanks,

Bruce

You could always try a different brand. I am kinda partial to Craft's base layers. I don't know of any larger than XL.

Thanks, I will do a Google search for Craft.

How tight? There's not supposed to be loose at all.
They'll stretch out after some time of sweat and washing.

Might try some different brands, too. I have some sugio's that are tight, and some zumi stuff that's not so tight (and stretched out).

I can't wait till I'll have to get out my arm warmers again. Been a dang hot summer here.

Try this link. I like the wool arm warmers. It stretches very well. The XL is for 225 pound plus rider.

They are tight in the upper arm area, especially in the right arm. Maybe they will stretch enough that they won?t bother me.

Before I became a cycling fanatic, I was a weight lifting fanatic and did a lot of arm exercises. I carry a disproportionate amount of weight in my upper arms and chest, but have skinny legs. I never liked doing squats. As a result, I can comfortably wear large leg warmers but XL arm warmers seem tight.

I am interested in the wool arm and leg warmers. I wonder how they compare comfort wise to the synthetic materials?

By the way, I am with you on the summer. I can deal with cold much better than heat. I can?t wait until fall starts.

Bruce

Andy,

Thanks, I am not familar with the brand but will check them out closer. Do you use wool instead of the synthetic arm and leg warmers? How do you like them?

I only have the arm warmers. I wear small and they fit just right and not too snug, which is what I like. They also don't slip off at the upper arm as it has elastic band. They feel good next to my skin and wick the sweat similar to synthetics without the smell.

Agree, I have both the wool arm and leg warmers from Kucharik and like them alot. I also have arm and leg warmers from Voler, Performance and Biemmi. For me, the worst were the Performance brand ones, always seems to be too loose. Then again, for the OP, that may be the one that works.

As with any clothes or shoes, I highly recommend getting them from a LBS. Even if it cost more. I prefer to try things on to make sure I get the correct size. Only the Voler were bought from mail order, but that is because they had a free return policy. Check it out!
