Parlee Quality control
#9487 - 01/19/08 01:15 AM (67.169.34.209)

Finally received my Z1 after a 17(yes 17!) week wait and was frankly a bit disappointed in the clear finish. Lots of dust pits and clear coat on some of the weave on the joints are really poor. LBS and Tom Rodi were not exactly customer service oriented..

Bike rides like a dream; I certainly hope others have a better experience with delivery and quality control.

Have they offered to take the frame back to reshoot the clearcoat?
You might also wish to ride it now and then send it off to Tom Kellogg or Joe Bell in the future for a truly sublime paintjob.
Hopefully we'll see feedback from the Parlee folks here.

A wait of a mere seventeen weeks seems incredibly brief to me. Tom Rodi has graciously provided all his contact information. Next step is for johndh to call.

Does Joe Bell do carbon frames? I was under the impression that, due to his paint methods, he would only do metal. S'pose I could be wrong...
