dura-ace model numbers
#9514 - 02/01/08 05:03 AM (68.107.129.52)

Where would I find the model number on some dura-ace dual control levers? Is there a site that sells parts for these rather than buying a new 500 dollar set? The plastic cable holder on my left shifter has broken and jams up on the down shift.

If you peel the hood rubber up from where it meets the handlebar you will see the embossed model number, ie; 7700/7701 or whatever on the black plastic of the shifter mount. Very easy to see.

If you've broken an internal part, generally they are not available and the shifters are not considered repairable. Are they under warranty? Dura Ace has a 3-year warranty. Take your dead shifter to a good LBS and see what they might do for you.
