Riding season is approaching and I am looking for a second Calfee. 60cm, standard dimensions, either Tetra or Dragonfly. I need 2004 or newer so the bottom bracket will accept the newer style cranks. 1-1/8" steerer tube, but you probably knew that. I am building a second bike for an upcoming tour of the Rockies and plan to go compact cranks, lightweight wheels, etc....Please e-mail me if you have anything or know anyone who does.
Thanks in advance!

I was planning to buy a Campy UT crank for my 02 Luna, but you are scaring me. Mine is Engish, and all cranks I've had on it were fine. Did Calfee increase clerance in 04?

I spoke to Craig about it and he said that the bottom bracket area could be shaved in about 15 minutes. He said that a local bike shop could do it. It would probably be better if you talked to Craig about it.
The Ultra Torque cranks were rubbing on Calfees older than 2007.

My 2008 UT cranks were rubbing on my 2006 Bamboo. (See this thread )
After talking to Craig and getting a series of files I performed the shaving myself which fixed my problem. Since then, I had to send it back to have some other work done and James said they cleaned up my filing job so it would look a little more professional.

You may already know this, but there is a Luna Pro on eBay that is listed as a 59cm. I suspect that it may actually be a 60cm, unless it is a custom. A quick check of the serial number will reveal it's size.

I also have a 62 cm Luna Pro frame for sale.

If I were in the market for a Calfee I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used Luna Pro. I have now owned both a Tetra and Luna and I can not tell the difference in the ride quality. The only reason that I replaced my Luna was because I needed a taller head tube.
However, my Luna was painted and my Tetra is nude. I really like the nude finish much better than paint. I don't have to worry about scratching the nude finish. Put a little 303 on the frame and my nude frame shines like a clear coat.

I received your email. I think I might save up for a custom Tetra. Thanks.
