So what we've got here is a year old Dean Colonel 29'r with an EBB (eccentric bottom bracket) which allows you to run disc brakes w/ a singlespeed set-up and tension your chain via rotating the EBB thus not messing up your caliper/brake rotor alignment. The EBB is the newest generation from Bushnell. This frame also has braze on's to run derailleur cables/housing so it can be easily set up as a geared bike as well as SS. The frame has, I'm not kidding, probably 20 miles on it tops. My local trail got closed, mountain biking buddy got married and moved off, school obligations, etc pretty much meant this bike has not gotten used much at all. I clearly don't have any need for such a fancy mountain bike anymore so it's first on the chopping block. It is quite light (just a bit over 4lbs) and the quality is top notch. At the time I ordered it, I was told that Dean was contracting out their 29r's to James @ Blacksheep cycles, who is quite highly regarded at a great Ti welder. I asked specifically for clearance for large tires and it will clear a 2.5 with ease. It's 3 inches across the stays (inside to inside) so it'll handle any tire currently out there with room to spare.
Specs: 20.5 seat tube (c-t), 24.25 Effective top tube, 4.75 HT, 71.5d HA and STA, 12 BB height, CS length varies on setting of EBB, but ~17.25-17.75 would be my best guess.
Going price was $1950 (including $200 upcharge for EBB) when I got it. I would LOVE to get $1350 shipped for it. ~$600 off, plus you won't have to wait forever and ever on Dean. (4 mos for this one).
Also I'm including a set of 29in Maxxis Ignitors 2.1 that have the same mileage as the frame so they're basically new. They were some of the first moldings that weigh ~600g each which is much lighter than the current ones.
I'll also throw in a new Cane Creek S6 headset, and even install the cups for you so it's ready to build up when you get it. Also, if you tell me what length stem you need I'll throw one in as well, Probably Thomson, Easton, or Oval depending on size. (100-135's mainly available)May or may not have an extra seatpost to send with it. I'd have to look around to see.
Payment is preferred by MO through certified mail, but I can accept Paypal as well. If you'd like to do paypal I'd have to add on 3% (~$40) to cover their fees.
If you have ANY questions please let me know. I've got to find this fine bike a new home! I've got plenty of pictures available, email me if you'd like to see them @ mtbiken-at-hotmail dot com and I'll send you an inbox full. Thanks again for looking.
