I recently saw an interview with the DS of a French ProTour team, could have been FDJ. He said the team uses Hutchinson tubeless for the cobbled races eg P-R, the Ronde , Het Volk because less chance of puncturing but not for races on good roads eg Milan- San Remo. All statements by sponsered teams are, of course, suspect but as this wasn't an unqualified endorsement maybe it is true.

I am interested in tubeless tires for three reasons and read everything I can find on the subject.

* Supposedly tubeless are more puncture resistance
* They have a better ride quality
* They have less rolling residence

However, I am far from ready to pull the trigger and buy a set of wheels. I am still watching to see if tubeless are legit or just marketing hype.
