My first race on the Race....: Bikefanclub.com

I raced this past weekend on my Merckx for the first time. I will not bore you with the details here (you can read about it in the Bicycling Forum - Racing, if you want). Out of 53 starters, I was 1 of 2 Merckx bikes. The other was the Carbon MXM (yes, in a Cat 4/5 race!). The bike continues to confirm all that I have said about it before here - it rides and handles like a dream. In a tight pack, I rubbed a few wheels and a few shoulders, some at very high speeds. No problems. I bought it to race it and it certainly did not let me down.

Now I gotta work on that engine......
