Spend More On A Frame or Wheels/Parts

We have had that discussion many times in the past. For example even recently when someone opted for a Tetra at a great price over the D'Fly it leaves more money for parts.

This is the conclusion from Pez Cycling News on their review of Zipp Wheels and tires.

"I have said it before and I will say it again, a very good set of light weight Tubular Carbon wheels will transform your bike (and this is a very good set of Carbon Tubulars…). They are the one part you can change that you will immediately notice a difference with in acceleration, comfort and ride quality (and that is if you are using ANY clincher, light weight or not). If you have the money and you are the right weight so that they are safe (you should email the Manufacturers, not me, for acceptable weights) I would spesay spend your money on wheels first, Frame second, Group set third…"

BTW if you don't subscribe to their newsletter sign up now! It is great reading. I just wish they had it in hard copy too so I could take it places to read.

Don't believe me? Here is what Lance says...

"PezCycling News! As I said, I’ve got it on my list of favorites on my browser and I read it, maybe not daily but certainly 4 or 5 times a week." Yup - That's what Lance says about PEZ!

Sign up and enjoy. Great interviews, product reviews, etc. Also go in the archives they test a lot of "stuff."
