Here's the word from Calfee.
"The "Nude" finish is not sent bare carbon, we finish the frame by applying 303 aerospace protectant to give the tubes and lugs a finished look because bare carbon tubes after sanding have a dry unfinished feel, also the 303 protects the exposed glue on the small parts (cable guides, brake bridge, water bottle bosses & drop outs) from UV's, which can discolor the glue over time. The carbon fabric on the lugs & carbon tubes on the frame are unaffected by UV's. For more information on the 303 we use visit there web-site www.303-products.com"
So, nude is a "protectant" but not a "finish". Makes sense. Thanks to all those who chimed in.
