UV rays and Nude carbon...
      04/21/05 02:23 PM (69.155.200.4)

Hello All, New guy with a few questions.

I currently ride a custom steel bike; A "freddie" built by Fred Karcher from Oklahoma. Campy equipped... Had an Eisentraut, which bit the dust, and Fred built me a heck of a nice frame! Red and Campy equipped of course!

Anyway I have been intrigued with Calfees, and after clearing the garage of some motorcycles, am looking at purchasing a Calfee. If I go with a nude carbon frame how often does the UV protectant have to be applied? Is it like sunscreen in texture? or a spray on like WD40?

Also what is the reasoning behind headtube extensions? Is this a way to get the handle bars higher for a more up-right ride? Thanks for the help. I've enjoyed lurking and y'all seem like a helpful bunch.
