Greetings folks. I got my first good ride in since I got my bike back from the factory today. It had been raining yesterday and there were puddles I went through on the bike trail. I am glad I have fenders on my bike because it makes a world of difference when you ride through puddles. I also got the sense for the more-relaxed geometry I have on this bike versus my previous one. I like it. One thing I noticed when I was pumping out of the saddle is that the bike tracked more easily for me. I noticed in riding no-hands that I did not have to balance as carefully as I did on my previous ride.
Ride comfort was great. I have a Brooks B-17 saddle and considering I had not ridden for months it felt really good to me. I rode just under 15 miles total. I just rode a decent pace without pushing hard. I will post more ride impressions as I regain my former fitness level.
I went to the NAHBS show this past Sunday. I met Craig Calfee and enjoyed talking with him.
