"Officially," both Campy and Shimano say you can't use their chains with a master link. However, in practice, I found this to be untrue.

Further, my friends who are running 10 speed, use Sram, Wipperman chains and links and have no problem. I would try it!

Thanks for the response. I like the idea of using a removable chain link and I have heard good things about Wipperman chains which I think all come with removable links.
