A new Tetra on the road
      01/01/08 03:39 AM (63.196.199.14)

In November '06, I bought a 60 cm. nude Tetra Pro planning to build it up immediately. However, one unexpected expense after another seemed to hit us throughout the end of '06 and most of '07. I finally got it together to build the Tetra and it's truly beautiful: Chorus 10, Neutrons, Deda Zero stem and Newton bar, SI SLK Gelflow saddle, Chorus carbon seat post, and Michelin Pro Race tires. I've put about 150 miles on it since I picked it up on December 26 and the ride is even better than expected. I've been on steel frames forever, so I wasn't expected a ride that was substantially more comfortable than what I've had. However the Tetra seems to float over even the roughest roads. I'll throw up a picture on the gallery after I get the ride fully sorted out. The current cages are loaners until I put on carbon cages. I've pulled on of the spacers, dropping the bars an inch. However, the saddle to bar drop is about 1.5 inches less than on my Strong Foco. I think I'm going to become a Calfee convert in short order. Even non-carbon fans are raving about the look of this bike.
