I had as creaking bottom bracket on my Luna but when I switched the parts over to my Tetra, the creaking stopped. I think the creaking was a result of how the bike was assembled.

What type of crank arm and bottom bracket are you using?
Is the interface between the two a tapered square?
Did you grease (or not grease) the interface on both bikes?
Were the crank arm bolts torqued (with a torque wrench) properly?
Just curious.

My local bike shop told me that the creaking was caused by having had water in the bottom bracket area.

ROTFLMAO!

Yeah, I guess that could be a cause...

It could also be caused by mice in the bottom bracket!
