Info on a Basso?: Bikefanclub.com

Here's a friend's bike. He bought the frame and converted it to Fixed.

Here's what he knows/is looking for:

I've got a Basso road frame I'd like to get more information on. It's a frame I bought used and turned into a fixie [sic]. However, this winter I'd like to restore it as the paint is very rough. I'd like to find new decals or at least match them as closely as I can. All I know about it really is that it's a Basso and it's red/white/blue. I haven't seen any others like it poking around in the search engines. It's lugged and obviously had a "Sundance" sticker on it which I assume was a race team of some sort.
