Cliffie,

That's a Merckx Corsa, not an MX Leader. I can tell because

1) Motorola MXLs have chrome right chainstays
2) MXLs have internal rear brake cable routing
3) MXL fork crown shape is different
4) MXL tubing is shaped wildly different

So, it would have Columbus SLX, rather than MAX tubing. Still a very nice ride.

I have a Motorola team (ex-Axel Merckx) MX Leader (61ST, 58.5TT) from the same period. I'm just in the process of building it up, so I can't give much of a ride impression yet (it was nice on the ride around the block). I weigh about 161-163lbs, and I'm not concerned about the bike being overly stiff. It's got good geometry and a nice steel tubeset. It'll ride fine with 25s.

On the plus side, you might get a really good deal on that one, seeing how the seller misspelled Merckx.

Cheers,
- Christian

I should have piccies of my MXL ready to go by the end of the week.
