The 6500 head had this feature but because of it, it went through batteries very fast so they got rid of the auto turn on feature. Funny that all of the aftermarket manufacturers can make it work but Shimano can't Kind of makes you wonder what kind of grouppos we could have if we weren't saddled with a company content to go backwards with thier technology.
