3 things....
1) IMO the OCLV is a tool for the job. Something along the lines of a Cannondale. Lots of performance. Fair finish. I honestly don't care for the the little "button" labels pressed into the newer Treks on the seat stays. I think they look cheap. I think Orbea does this too. Is that right Alan? Anyway, just something I think takes away from the beauty and flowing lines of a CF frameset.
2) Nothing wrong with the older OCLV Lon except for the pre-1997 had a rotten fork which was beefed up in 1997, I think, with a nice stiff Icon fork. That made a huge difference in how Treks handled and descended.
3) Lon, did Calfee truly get the old paint off the carbon without a trace of it left? For example could they have clear coated it without noticing the old paint? Did you get a price on them doing that?
