The rides were both very sweet. I would buy either of the bikes as you won't go wrong. The Madone is about 100 gms heavier than the 5900 and the Madone would not be ready until June at the earliest. The 5900 could arrive by March. I also am looking at a Calfee Tetra which is available now. All great bikes. Dave Post Extras
