It's a good day. I just got my Tetra Pro back from Calfee. If you have followed along, then you know that I had cracked the downtube on it at the end of March and had to send it in to get it repaired. The six week turnaround was about what I expected. In addition to the crack, I had also already put some pretty choice nicks and chips in the paint. I wanted to make sure that those were taken care of as well. I was VERY pleased with the condition of the frame I got back. It looks brand new. I was also very pleased with the $360 charge, especially given that it included shipping, and that I had a custom fade on the paint.
When I was able to get a hold of Dean directly, he was very professional and very easy to work with. He did what he said he would in the timeframe promised, and that scores big points in my book. While he doesn't always return his calls as promptly as I might want, I understand that he is a very busy guy, especially given the timing with their move. Growing pains are inevitable for any successful company, and I think Calfee is handling things pretty well.
I was having trouble getting support initially and was concerned about that, but my overall experience has been a positive one. Keep up the good work, Calfee!
And isn't it nice to have my bike back for the race this weekend?
Suffer on!

P.S. - anyone else doing the Vuelta de Valencia this weekend?
