One other negative, it is a small one but maybe significant: the Deda has "detents" for angle adjustments which are fairly large. If you want exact control on seat angle, you may luck out on the Deda but you may not be able to get it just how you want it. Why would Thomson ever add a CF seat post? Their new Masterpiece is lighter than most other's CF posts at 157g. It's infinitely adjustable, never slips and will likely never fail. Post Extras
