Let me share a few items from today's newspaper which I read over my cup of coffee: - AMERICANS' INCOME SHRANK 9%, IRS SAYS - WHITE HOUSE FORECASTS HIGHEST BUDGET DEFICIT IN HISTORY - ECONOMY SLOWS DOWN AS ENERGY COSTS RISE - BIG OIL POSTS RECORD PROFITS IN LAST QUARTER - DELTA AIRLINES CEO ASKS PILOTS FOR $1 BILLION IN COST CUTS - WASHINGTON MUTUAL ANNOUNCES LAYOFFS OF 3400 EMPLOYEES And that's not even looking at the debacle over in Iraq.
