Gee Lon, my my, you have been busy on this forum about me, i guess you didnt think someone could actually own more than one bike. Well ok so i didnt tell you how many bikes i had, so from your posts you seem to think i only could have one bike, or did you not get the reply that xd out sent about me owning three road bikes at present, but then i also forgot to mention the track bike in that total, so technically that makes four bikes. Ok its come to this, so i just got to say it,lets just get something straight in this forum right now,I can afford any bicycle or frameset that any company makes, so a choice of frame or parts for me is not limited by budget, its limited to what (I) perceive as a properly built and designed frame and/or parts craftmanship. After all i will be using these items for a few years in training and racing, and i like to make sure what i purchase is a reliable product and thats really where the true test comes in. The final verdict after all this is basically to let you Lon know, that my preferences are really just mine, and my decisions work for me and i'm happy with them. I was therefore not impressed with the trek products, and probably never will be, and now xd outs paint is peeling off his carbon trek as well, and he is NOT pleased. The worst part about this is that the main trek dealer in Miami i checked with, told me that trek will not warranty the cosmetic finish of its oclv frames. I take this is directly referring to paint or clear coating, so that only now leaves the carbon structure of the frameset thats actually covered,oh dont you just like a warranty like that.
-------------------- Its time to ride.
