Could you clarify for us who made the statement that Reynolds had the fork and it would be shipped out the next day? If it was someone from Reynolds, then you deserve, from Reynolds, an explanation for the holdup.
I understand, as well, the engineering that goes with specifying a bike and that it often requires a complete re-engineering when you change one component that is critical such as the fork. That said, I am in sympathy with you in that you are stuck without knowing what is going on with the fork. Reynolds is a huge company. I have not heard anything bad about them so it is very puzzling that they can't get a fork made up for you in less time than it has taken. Start to finish couldn't take more than one week in a larg composite manufacturing company.
