Wet road riding has never been pleasant and moreso when the places are not as friendly on your bike and its parts. Some countries have road material such as granite chips and even crushed glass mixed into the road ashpalt so that cornering in the wet is really good because of the grip available. Others have ultra smooth 'see your face' in the wet roads surface material, that its easy to skid under these circumstances mainly because you are aqua-planing at speeds as slow as ten miles per hour. Factor in some road debris such as grit and sand mixed into the water splashing onto your chain and BB bearings, you cant expect the parts to last long under these repeated conditions. Then how about some of that water spashing you in your face from the front tyre, do you know where its been or what was on the road that it diluted.HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
