I saw the caulk then but never really thought about it. Anyhow, this thread is about rim strips. I bought Velox cloth rim tape. I've ALWAYS bought Velox except once when I decided to try some plastic tape. What a joke that stuff was. Never again. The plastic was awkward to install, and seemed to cut my tubes. They also seemed to migrate and expose the nipple holes in the rim causing an aneurism (for lack of a better term) in the tube and an eventual flat.
