It is very much like a tetra, perhaps slightly softer. Ultimately, I chose not to get one since at the time it was common for them to develop cracks in the bamboo, and they weigh a bit more than a comparably priced carbon bike. Now that Craig is using smoked bamboo to avoid cracking, I would have a harder time deciding.
