But I digress.
I'm planning on getting a custom Tetra. I wear a 37" inseam and have occasional right knee pain when riding - not when running. So I'm gonna need help getting fitted. I considered Zinn, but he's over $1000 more for Ti. I live in Albuquerque and would appreciate any input. Thanks.
A good bike shop will be able to measure you and determine if a custom or stock frame will be best. There are very few bike manufacturers that can make a custom carbon frame and all of them that I am aware of are more expensive than Calfee.
Take a look at the Calfee dealer locator on their website. They probably have a dealer in your area. I know of one other person on this forum that is 6'5" and I think he rides a 64cm stock frame.
As for the knee pain I ride with Speedplay pedals because they have free float allowing the foot to rotate without any restriction, and I do not have any knee pain at all. I have had both legs broken in several places and one leg is shorter than the other so I am susceptible to knee problems. Most pedals have a spring that will bring the foot back to center but Speedplay does not. Some people prefer the self-centering spring, however, it all depends on what you like. I did a lot of research before choosing a pedal system and am very comfortable with what I chose.
